Lyngby Storcenter

New, big shopping universe is now opening on the 1st floor in Lyngby Storcenter

After one year of extensive renovation work, Lyngby Storcenter will soon be opening its doors to a new shopping area with an international format. The fully refurbished 1st floor offers a number of new fashion and lifestyle stores, which are brought together harmoniously in a new and more logical aisle layout.

On the 8 November, the shopping centre celebrated the reopening of the 1st floor and a brand new fashion universe of 5,000 square metres.

Concept stores COS, Arket and & Other Stories – which only occupy the very best locations – are now opening their doors to shoppers in North Zealand. In addition, the existing H&M store is reopening with a completely renovated and expanded layout, updated with a new modern store design, supplemented by an H&M Home shop-in-shop.

“Bringing such strong brands together in Lyngby Storcenter strengthens the centre's profile as the preferred shopping destination in North Zealand. We are convinced that this new experience universe will be a unique attraction for the majority of our customers,” says Eva Handest, property manager on behalf of Danske Shopping Centres, which owns Lyngby Storcenter.

The new stores complement each other, providing a unique mix that combined, which, combined with the other fashion stores in the centre, gives customers the widest clothing assortment in the area.

Concepts that provide experiences
Great time and effort has been invested in providing an overall experience for the customers with interior design and aesthetics that follow current trends, where shopping and experiences are merged together. Arket fuses fashion with home items and handicrafts, where you also can enjoy a cup of coffee or a sandwich in the café area. COS is designed with its own rooftop terrace, and & Other Stories opens with a large beauty department.

“Finding concepts that provide experiences, a wide selection and a unique atmosphere has been of utmost importance to us. At the same time, we want to offer concepts that can’t be found in other shopping centres around Copenhagen. There is a high demand for experiences, entertainment and a wide range of shops, and all of this is plentiful in Lyngby Storcenter. In addition to the new 1st floor, the centre has also opened a number of other stores with strong brands and restaurants in recent years,” says Eva Handest.

600 m2 more fashion
The extensive refurbishment of over 5,000 m2 corresponds to about half of the shopping area on the 1st floor. In order to create additional space for the new major concepts, the centre has been expanded by approx. 600 m2. Several aisles have also been moved to provide a more natural customer flow. The renovated 1st floor also offers a new baby lounge and a large extension of Sport24.

With 125 stores and 7 million customers every year, Lyngby Storcenter is North Zealand's largest shopping centre. The centre is constantly evolving, and since 2016 23 new concepts have been introduced, including the popular food universe at Store Torv and most recently, the world’s largest Søstrene Grene.
