DSC takes over herningCentret

From October 2018, the succesful herningCentret will be part of Danske Shoppingcentre. The centre is a characteristic shopping centre from 1978 situated in the middle of Jutland, which today appears well managed and very modern. In 2017, it received a prize as the centre with "Denmark's best activities".

The 40 year old herningCentret is the 17th and latest centre in DSC. The centre is a good supplement to the portfolio. DSC already owns four centres in Jutland, namely City Vest, Friis Shoppingcenter, Randers Storcenter and Kolding Storcenter.

One of DSC's reasons for the acquisition was that herningCentret has managed to evolve from a traditional shopping centre to a top modern shopping and experience centre, a development that DSC plans to pursue in future.

The occupancy rate at the centre is high and the customer base is wide and well-established. The centre is open every day of the week and offers a good mixture of convenience goods, specialty and fashion shops as well as cafés, restaurants and its own playland. The centre has a total of 80 different shops and tenancies.
